Sadler Gallery is a premier fine art gallery representing a variety of both local and international artists. Featuring experienced wildlife artist James Corwin’s intimate, yet powerful creation of traditional and contemporary wildlife paintings. Corwin exquisitely marries the two in each painting with detailed subjects and loosely constructed backgrounds often exposing the underpainting and raw canvas. Also featuring figurative drawings by Emanuele Capozza – an architect and painter who lives and works in Florence – recognized throughout Europe for his fresco knowledge.
To be an artist, you must be observant. Your job then becomes to point at things so others may be introduced to your observations. In the end, it has little to do with what you see and everything to do with the way you see. I primarily use black and white photography to share my observations. With the assistance of my cameras, I capture spaces, usually ordinary spaces filled with light that create lines and shadows that engage others in a moment.
Wisconsin offers some of best natural scenery in the U.S., bolstered by the best fall foliage transition and the four seasons. Our state also offers some of the most iconic structures in the Midwest. These ideas serve as the inspiration for this gallery, and I invite you to come and enjoy our Natural and Iconic Wisconsin.
