Sculpture Milwaukee is an annual outdoor exhibition of world-renowned sculpture in downtown Milwaukee. Free and open to the public 24/7 via foot, bike, car, bus…you name it! In 2020 our exhibition includes 19 works by local and international artists displayed along Wisconsin Ave from OíDonnell Park to the Wisconsin Center, and this for the first time, weíve expanded into the Historic Third Ward. Find brochures with maps at the gold info stands near each artwork or visit sculpturemilwaukee.com to download the map, take the free audio tour, or explore virtually!
This year’s exhibition has moved to an online platform – The Haggerty Museum of Art’s recently launched Google Arts & Culture site. Individual galleries will feature the work of the five fellows, and will be accompanied by the interpretive materials traditionally offered at the Museum–including artist statements, biographies, and catalogue essays. Additional multi-media content–including artist interviews, studio visits and online public programs–will be added to the virtual exhibition throughout the course of the exhibition period, offering increased access to the artists themselves and providing additional insights into their working processes.
Midwest Art Collective has been recently reborn after the closing of UC Gallery. The Collective is now a beautiful virtual gallery, featuring nine artists who employ a variety of mediums. Each artist has a unique use of materials, inspiration and presentation. The originality is represented in detail as you walk through the gallery. The artists of the Collective invite visitors to purchase art in an easy fashion. There’s a button next to each piece that offers our patrons a choice of payment. Purchasing and displaying the art of regional artists is a way to enrich life’s experiences. Our new gallery of artists welcomes you. Enjoy your visit!
